Bald Eagle

Postby JohnS » Mon Jun 18, 2007 8:08 am

I was up to the lake over the weekend. Observed a bald eagle flying over Lily Lake and being harrased by a sea gull. Also spotted sitting at the top of the trees, scanning the water for a meal. As far as eagles go, it look to be a smaller, younger eagle than I've seen elsewhere in the state. Hopefully, it is establishing a summer home, and will be a regular to our lake.

That would be cool. There's already a number of hawks in the area.

I have been back and forth through that area over the last week with no additional sighting of the eagle. :( Probably was only passing through.
